West Broward Comes to Life With Two New Office Leases Valued at Estimated $30M

MIAMI-American InterContinental University is taking 77,000 sf at an estimated aggregate rent of $20 million at Beacon Pointe, Phase III, bringing that property to 77% occupancy. Al About Staffing Inc. is leasing 40,000 sf at an estimated total rent of $10 million at Sawgrass Pointe, raising that structure to 30% occupancy. Both are estimated 10-year deals.

MIAMI-Southwest Broward County has gained two new office tenants that have leased a total 117,000 sf for an estimated 10 years each in two of the area’s less-than-full business parks. The leases have a combined estimated value of $30 million.

“Although it has been a difficult year for the real estate market, these new leases indicate the office market in Broward County is coming back to life,” Pike Rowley, director of the Broward County division of Codina Realty Services Inc. ONCOR International, says in a prepared statement. ” With increased activity and new developments, west Broward is becoming a prime market for new business growth.”

Rowley refused to disclose average quoted rents and estimated lease values. Area brokers assisted GlobeSt.com with the numbers.
