WCM acquired the building at 27708 S.W. Parkway from Gerding Edlen Development Co. as part of the agreement wherein GED developed the building, negotiated a long-term lease to InFocus for the firm's corporate headquarters and then sold it to WCM.

"We earlier provided development funds to Gerding Edlen for the construction of Blocks 4 and 5 of The Brewery Blocks project and have worked with them on other real estate projects," says WCM Principal Bruce Korter. InFocus owns enough land for two additional buildings on their 26 acre campus.

Washington Capital Management, which invests on behalf of its Taft-Hartley pension funds, corporate and institutional clients, is a first mortgage construction and term lender for union-built real estate projects from $2 million to $30 million. Locally, Washington Capital also owns the Sun Microsystems Assembly Facility in the Sunset Corridor and is a joint venture partner with Greg Specht on a building leased to Nike in Beaverton Creek III.
