Zegota's one-year term runs through December 2003. He is vice president of Grubb & Ellis Co.'s industrial group in Tampa, FL where he is credited with helping grow the association to its current 550-membership roll.

Lois Kostroski, the association's executive director, says in a prepared statement Zegota is "responsible for bringing all the commercial brokers in the Tampa area together in one place."

Prior to Zegota's creation of the association, there was no formal organization for commercial brokers on Florida's Gulf Coast. Zegota presided over the group for four months in 1993 until the associate elected its first president. He has been an active member since the group was founded.
