Slated for completion by April 2003, the new dealership will rise on a 1.8-acre site just north of the 78 Freeway. Designed by Smith Consulting Architects, the project will sport a tropical motif as part of Aloha Motors' Hawaiian theme. The 2,500-sf building, which will include a two-story sales office and a reconditioning shop, will incorporate unpainted corrugated metal awnings, vertical wood siding and a lava rock veneer. It will be surrounded by tropical landscaping, including banana plants and palms.
Taylor Construction's owner, Ken Taylor, is serving as project manager. Tom Lamore of Smith Consulting Architects is the project architect, with Gary Baker acting as designer. In addition, Steven M. Ahles Landscape Architecture is serving as the landscape architect.
