Located at Route 28 and Waxpool Road in Loudoun County, the retail site--home to Best Products before Wal-Mart took occupancy--will get a makeover that will bring the structure's size up to 130,000-sf. The opening will mark Wegmans' debut in the state of Virginia.
"Wegmans Food Markets is unlike any supermarket in the Baltimore-Washington, DC marketplace," KLNB's Michael Patz says. "The produce department alone carries more than 700 different items and, at 130,000 sf of space, this store is nearly three times the size of the average supermarket in the area." Wegmans is also seeking a spot for a location in Fairfax Co.
