The length the lease is undisclosed, but the total rental is in excess of $780,000. The building is a two-story, 16,400-sf property, and Light World will occupy the entire first floor.

Light World sells to building contractors, renovation companies and consumers. In its new location, it plans to expand beyond chandeliers, table lamps and other lighting treatments to additional home accessories, including mirrors, furniture and art work.

The showroom's grand opening is scheduled for this November.

Philadelphia-based Binswanger/CBB negotiated the lease on behalf of both the property owner and tenant. Frank J. Cullen of Realty Group East, a division of Binswanger, handled the transaction.

Meanwhile, Clive G. Mendelow, vice chairman and chief operating officer of Binswanger/CBB, is elected to full fellowship in the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in London.

At the same time, Binswanger also has formed a team targeted specifically to the semiconductor industry in anticipation of a turnaround for that business sector worldwide, including in Brazil, the UK and Japan.
