City, Chamber Butt Heads Over Lease

SARATOGA, CA-The Saratoga Chamber of Commerce is actively looking for a new headquarters, as it waits for a city council decision that may exponentially increase its Lilliputian rent.

SARATOGA, CA-The Saratoga Chamber of Commerce’s days of paying just one dollar a year to rent its city-owned headquarters are coming to an end, as the city demands more money for the space.

The city and the chamber will meet in the next few weeks to determine how much the city plans to increase the rent on the small, historic building, which is located along Highway 9 in Saratoga. The city says it plans to bring the rental rate to market value, which could be anywhere from $500 to $1200.
