Jay Lamy of the Staubach Co., who represented Lexmark, tells GlobeSt.com that the move is directly related to the new Lexmark-Dell relationship. Ronnie Landry of Landry Commercial acted for the building owner, San Antonio-based Koontz McCombs.

The Lexmark lease takes the building, which opened about a year ago, to 10% occupancy, Landry says. He adds there's good activity in inquiries about the 87,711-sf building, which is close to Dell's Round Rock campus. The Summit is part of the 328-acre La Frontera mixed-use development's office building line-up.

Lexmark and Dell last week announced a deal in which Lexmark would make Dell-branded printers and ink cartridges for the Austin-based computer maker. Sales are to begin in 2003. Meanwhile, Dell will sell Lexmark products.
