Among Cousins' major retail-office-residential projects are Wildwood Office Park, Gateway Village in Charlotte and North Point, each at about one million sf.

Yenser was previously senior vice president of asset management for the Eastern division at Chicago-based General Growth Properties.

At Cousins, he will direct Cousins' nationwide retail portfolio which totals 3.1 million sf.

Yenser has 16 years of experience in the shopping center industry. His career began with Homart Development Co., which was the real estate arm of Sears Roebuck & Co. He continued with General Growth when it acquired Homart in 1986.

In his most recent position at General Growth, Yenser was responsible for leasing, management, marketing and development oversight for 32 properties.

In a printed statement, Joel Murphy, president of Cousins' retail division, says, "the addition of Steve to our group provides us with a great platform to continue the rollout of our Avenue concept developments in multiple markets."
