"In today's soft economy, this conference offers a unique opportunity to bring together the best in the business for one day only," says Jonathan A. Schein, president and CEO of GlobeSt.com's parent firm Real Estate Media Inc., which also publishes Real Estate Forum magazine and regional publications Real Estate New York, Real Estate New Jersey, Real Estate Chicago and Real Estate Southern California.

"This is the only independent commercial real estate networking event focused on the New York City market," says Rich Kelly, director of the series. "For this particular conference, we have assembled both high-profile and innovative speakers in the institutional, equity, investment sales and foreign markets. The breadth and depth they bring to the table promises to deliver an in-depth, authoritative and entertaining event."

RealShare New York will focus on deals and deal-making trends to provide candid insight into commercial real estate conditions in New York. Following opening remarks from Gerald D. Schein, vice chairman of Real Estate Media, the executive vice president of Tishman Realty Corp., Daniel R. Tishman, currently in charge of preconstruction and construction for the new 7 World Trade Center for Silverstein Properties, will offer insights into new construction opportunities in a post-Sept. 11 environment.

The program will then move to a Town Hall Meeting, an open discussion on the future of the New York market, moderated by GlobeSt.com national online editor John Salustri. Panelists, all key players in the New York real estate community, include Bruce Mosler, president of US operations at Cushman & Wakefield, Anthony Malkin, president of W&M Properties, Mary Ann Tighe, president and CEO of the New York Tristate Region at CB Richard Ellis, Michael Higgins, managing director of CIBC World Markets and Anthony Westreich, president of Max Capital Management Corp.

Following the meeting, a series of presentations featuring additional industry leaders will take place. Discussions will include: executive operating strategies under adverse market conditions, advice on how to capitalize on the equity influx into commercial real estate as investors withdraw from Wall Street and a hypothetical sublease negotiated live and discussed afterwards. Other topics include a Capital Markets & Finance Roundtable, New York City Investment Sales discussion and a panel on recruiting and retaining top talent in today's shifting times. The conference will conclude with an intimate, one-on-one discussion between real estate finance revolutionary Ethan Penner and Real Estate Forum's editor-in-chief, Michael Desiato.
