The $150 million birthing center in Roseville is part of Kaiser's $1.6 budget to expand in the Sacramento area over the next ten years. According to Kaiser, this budget is necessary because its membership in the Sacramento area has expanded more than 50% in the past ten years. Much of this growth was seen in Placer County.

The center will include 174 beds and provide all labor and delivery services, as well as pediatric and neonatal care. The center will employ 65 physicians and 300 support staff. The center is expected to meet future growth expectations and possibly accommodate deliveries currently done at the Morse Avenue hospital. The birthing center is expected to be complete by 2007.
