City Steps Up Pro-Development Policy

GRESHAM, OR-The Community and Economic Development Department for the City of Gresham creates a "Rapid Response Team" to act as an "internal advocate" for businesses looking to move or expand their facilities.

GRESHAM, OR-Taking advantage of its image as business friendly relative to the neighboring City of Portland, the City of Gresham’s Community and Economic Development Department is beefing up its customer service for relocating and expanding businesses with its newly formed Rapid Response Team.

The city says the RRT’s mission is to act as the internal advocate for the business, identifying any regulatory issues before construction begins and finding solutions that help businesses complete their projects on time and within budget. “Our goal is to streamline the permitting process,” says a city news release.
