$6.6M Clubhouse Gets Under Way

PAYSON, AZ-The 29,000-sf facility will deliver in June 2003 as a centerpiece to the 18-hole private Rim Golf Course, anchor for an upscale mountain community with commanding views of the Mogollon Rim.

PAYSON, AZ-The rugged grandeur of the Mogollon Rim will be reflected in the exposed timber-and-stone interior of a new 29,000-sf clubhouse under construction at the Rim Club, a private mountain community located three miles east of Payson near Arizona 87.

Currently being built by Wespac Construction Inc. of Phoenix, the $6.6-million golf course clubhouse is reminiscent of early Arizona mountain estates and features vintage wood flooring, reclaimed beams and dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows offering commanding views of the terrain. “There’s a five-star view from the patio,” Wespac construction project manager Ron Ensley tells GlobeSt.com. “It’s an absolutely spectacular view.”

Designed by Phoenix-based Cox James Architects for owner Crescent Resources LLC of Charlotte, NC, the two-building clubhouse features a pro shop, men’s and women’s locker room, eight stone fireplaces, full-service gourmet kitchen and bar-and-lounge area.
