Staybridge Breaks Ground on 2 Suites Hotels

GLENVIEW, IL-An Atlanta-based subsidiary of the British Six Continents Hotels Inc. has started work on two extended-stay hotels in Chicago's north suburban market, in nearby Lincolnshire as well as here.

GLENVIEW, IL-Staybridge Suites Hotels of Atlanta has broken ground on twonew hotels in the Chicago area. A $13-million, 120-room all-suite hotel inGlenview will be at 2600 Lehigh Ave. in the Prairie Glen Corporate Campus,and a $15-million, 118-room hotel in Lincolnshire (also all suites) will bebuilt at 100 Barclay Blvd. in Lincolnshire Corporate Center.

Kiferbaum Construction Corp. is responsible for the design and construction of both properties. The hotels will be owned by affiliates of Dellisart Inc., which was formed by a former Staybridge executive for the purpose of developing Staybridge properties. They will be operated under a license agreement with an affiliate of Six Continents Hotels, owner of the Staybridge Suites brand. Completion is scheduled for summer 2003.
