Chamness Relocation Services saw the influx of newcomers as an opportunity to relocate its services into the heart of bustling Chandler with the rental of 20,552 sf at the Chandler Corporate Plaza. Located at 25 S. Arizona Place just south of Chandler Blvd., the building will get a five-year tenant with 70 to 100 employees and an expanded office space along with prime downtown location, Grubb & Ellis Co.'s Laurel Lewis tells GlobeSt.com. The firm, which will relocate to its new facility this month, was formerly located in offices at Alma School and Warner roads.
Lewis, who along with Jeff Hartland, also with Grubb & Ellis' office advisory division, said the company liked the downtown environment, but it was the recently renovated, five-story office building that really won over the decision-makers. "They wanted to be in Chandler and liked the downtown environment," said Lewis, "but they really loved the building."
The 103,000-sf building, owned by Equus Realty, was only 12% occupied when the realty firm purchased the building in March. Today, occupancy is nearly 60% with the addition of Chamness. "We've seen real good activity on the building, plus there's a real aggressive ownership there. They want to make deals," said Lewis, who represented the owner in the lease transaction. Bill Blake with Lee & Associates Arizona in Phoenix represented the tenant.
