More than 8.8 million pounds of cement, 13.8 million pounds of sand, 17.3 million pounds of rock and 352,000 gallons of water will pound the ground for 24 hours starting at midnight that day.

The condominium tower is developer Donald Trump and partners Michael and Gil Dezer's first South Florida resort. The 55-story Trump Palace will consist of 267 residences.

The foundation-pouring event will highlight a capsule that will include historically significant items donated by residents and dignitaries. It is scheduled to be reopened in 2047 in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the city of Sunny Isles Beach.

The entire project will be located on 11 acres of beachfront property. The project also includes the 372-unit condominium hotel Trump International Sonesta Beach Resort, scheduled to open by New Year's Eve, and another luxury condominium tower, Trump Royale, with 55 stories and 333 residences.

The two condo towers will be the tallest oceanfront residential towers in the state, Trump's marketing staff says in a prepared statement.
