MIAMI-The three-week-old, $60 million, 115-room Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove, which had its grand opening Oct. 9, has seen occupancy levels exceed 65%, the hotel reports.

The Italian Renaissance-style bayside hotel occupies the first eight stories of a new 22-story tower situated on four acres at 3300 S.W. 27th Ave. in Miami. The rest of the tower contains 88 permanent condominium residences. Another 22-story tower connected by a walkway opened previously. It contains 129 condos.

Construction began on the newer building two years ago. Texas-based H.C. Beck Construction, which has an office in Miami, completed the project after the first general contractor resigned. The entire two-building project cost $180 million.
