The award was for the 16-story, 111-unit Ocean Tower Two luxury condominium project at 791 Crandon Boulevard, Key Biscayne, FL. The award was in the multi-family residential, $30 million to $75 million category.
AMEC refused to disclose the construction cost but area construction industry estimators tell GlobeSt.com on condition of anonymity the project couldn't be built for less than $300,000 per unit or a total $33 million.
The condos sell for $350,000 to $3.5 million. The units range from 2,500 sf to 5,400 sf.
Other Excellence in Construction Award winners in South Florida include Stiles Construction Co. and Miller Construction Co., both based in Fort Lauderdale.
