The conceived project would tie in with the city's $5 million Riverwalk landscaping venture at the port of Sanford. Suncor president Robert Horian couldn't be reached at GlobeSt.com's publication deadline.

But area brokers tell GlobeSt.com Suncor is looking for a half-acre donation from Sanford as an incentive to proceed with the project. The site is just west of City Hall facing Lake Monroe.

Elected officials in the city of 33,000 permanent residents, 25 miles north of Downtown Orlando, are expected to review Suncor's proposal at a public meeting later month.
