ANTHEM, AZ-With more than 70% of Desert North Commerce Center first phase already leased, Voit Development Co. will begin the second phase of the Anthem project by the end of this year. The plan is to add a 50,000-sf, multi-tenant building to the development.

Thomas Kimsey, vice president of acquisitions and development for the firm’s Arizona office, said the success of the center is a result of the building’s flexibility and the need for retail and office space in the growing Anthem community, which is expected to reach a population of 35,000 when fully developed. “The multi-tenant building is well situated in a growing community where few building options currently exist for businesses to locate,” he said, adding that he expects to have another 20% of the first building leased soon, bringing occupancy to nearly 90%.
