Kevin Cosca of CB Richard Ellis Co.'s Phoenix office tells GlobeSt.com that the Phoenix-based firm, which overhauls and repairs aircraft auxiliary power units, plans to move into the facility at 3007 E. Chambers St. by the beginning of the year. The company is occupying 20,600 sf at 2949 E. Washington St. in Phoenix. That building, adjacent to Sky Harbor International Airport, has been sold in a voluntary land acquisition program designed to expand airport operations.
The company's new site near 24th and Roeser streets contains about 14,000 sf of office space and the remainder designed for manufacturing. Cosca said the aviation firm had been looking for a new location for several months, but had been unable to find a site that would suit its needs until Chambers Investment, LLC of Santa Monica, CA put the building up for sale.
"The building was laid out almost exactly in the way they wanted," Cosca said, adding that its central location and the fact that it needed only minor improvements also were appealing factors for the buyer.
Cosca and Pete Wentis, also of CB Richard Ellis' Phoenix office, represented Aerotec International in the transaction. The seller was represented by Jerry Marrell from the Phoenix office of Lee & Associates Arizona.
