Stremel plans to build a 257-unit housing project on a 120-acre site in Pittsburg's southwest hills, on Bailey Road. The Planning Commission was expected to review the $14.6 million project's full-scale environmental report and design plans this week but Stremel requested a two-week extension, saying that some details needed to be clarified or revised.

While Stremel is revising the plans, the Planning Commission will address some concerns about the proposal, including the funding details for a five-mile water line, the possibility of endangered species on the land, and the size if the proposed park in the complex.

The Planning Commission will meet with Stremel at the end of October to discuss their concerns and view the revised plans.
