More than 2,000 tenants in its two office towers attended a tenant appreciation luncheon to celebrate the improvements and to introduce its new Web sites designed to enhance customer service at Crescent properties.

Denny Alberts, Crescent's president and chief operating officer, and John Zogg, senior vice president of asset management and leasing, were on hand to welcome the tenants, as well as a separate meeting for about 150 top commercial real estate brokers.

Customers and visitors of MCI Tower now enter the property through new revolving glass doors covered by a curved exterior canopy, and they are greeted at new security and reception desks which have been constructed in the lobby. The $2-million lobby features black granite walls and floors with bands of granite imported from India, as well as a reception area with an electronic building directory for use by visitors and customers.

The renovation was designed by architect Mark McPherson of Design Partnership, Inc.

The Denver Marriott City Center, which occupies the first 20 stories of MCI Tower, has also undergone an $8-million renovation to its lobby and its 620 guest rooms. The hotel now features high-end guest rooms that reflect a more upscale boutique feel.

With Crescent's purchase of Johns Manville Plaza, Denver's City Center complex is returning to its original concept--a master planned complex designed to meet the needs of corporations and professional firms with the "city within a city" approach, Zogg tells GlobeSt.com.

Also, Crescent is currently reviewing options for ways to tie the plaza area between the two buildings together to create more synergy.

The Denver Marriott Hotel provides added services of in-office catering of food and beverages and use of its many meeting rooms, day spa, restaurants, and hotel rooms for visiting clients.
