Crescent Puts $10M into MCI, Marriott Renovations

DENVER-Fort Worth, TX-based Crescent Real Estate Equities Co. has completed $10 million in renovations at its MCI Tower and Marriott City at California and 17th streets in the heart of Downtown. Crescent, which also bought the adjacent Johns Manville Plaza for $91 million, spent $2 million on MCI Tower and $8 million on the hotel.

More than 2,000 tenants in its two office towers attended a tenant appreciation luncheon to celebrate the improvements and to introduce its new Web sites designed to enhance customer service at Crescent properties.

Denny Alberts, Crescent’s president and chief operating officer, and John Zogg, senior vice president of asset management and leasing, were on hand to welcome the tenants, as well as a separate meeting for about 150 top commercial real estate brokers.
