Fort Lauderdale-based Maleta was formed last month by Lawrence P. and Thomas A. Maleta. Both Maletas previously worked for Pavarini Construction, a major general contractor with annual revenue of approximately $100 million.
There, Lawrence Maleta was southeast regional vice president and was responsible for such projects as 355 Alhambra Plaza in Miami; the SunTrust Tower in Fort Lauderdale; and the University of Miami Schools of Business & Communication in Miami. He was with Pavarini for 23 years.
Thomas Maleta worked for Pavarini for 18 years and held titles ranging from superintendent to project manager of the Tides Hotel Renovation and project executive of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. His duties also included business development and client relations.
