Oncor HQ to Move from DC to Chicago

WASHINGTON, DC-Oncor International, the umbrella organization of more than 50 independent commercial real estate firms, has decided to relocate its corporate headquarters from the Nation’s Capital to the Windy City. The firm will abandon its prestigious Pennsylvania Avenue location in downtown Washington, DC for a yet-to-be-determined location in Chicago’s central business district early next year. The impetus behind the move is based on logistics.

“It really has to do with the fact that Chicago is more of a central location,” Oncor president and CEO David Ball tells GlobeSt.com. “Our companies are so spread out that we found ourselves using Chicago as a meeting location. It allows us to congregate in the US centrally and bring in Europe, as well.” Through its independent firms, Oncor services over 200 markets in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, South Africa and Latin America.
