Comstock Breaks Ground on $75M Condo/Townhome Venture

ATLANTA-Reston, VA-based Comstock Homes Inc. has broken ground on North Shore at Centennial Campus, a $75 million, 258-condo/townhome community on the new one million-sf, 1,334-acre Centennial Campus at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC.

It’s one of the most ambitious shelter projects ever undertaken in the metro Raleigh area, outside brokers following the project tell GlobeSt.com. One the commercial side, 700,000 sf of office is already occupied. A hotel/conference center and an 18-hole championship golf course are on the drawing boards.

Completion of the residential component is tentatively scheduled for late 2006 or early 2007. Condos are expected to begin at $100,000 for one bedroom units to $400,000-plus for the largest penthouse residences. Townhome opening prices will be in the high $100,000s for the 2,100-sf homes to $300,000-plus for the larger residences.
