EDMONDS, WA-While local residents have thumbed their noses at a possible sewage treatment plant, they are apparently embracing Triad Development Inc.’s plan to construct an upscale, multifamily condominium project on the old Unocal tank farm site.

The site had been on the short list for Brightwater, King County’s new sewage treatment plant. But King County Executive Ron Sims recently said another site in Woodinville, Wash. made more sense for that facility.

The lower level of the tank farm site is the proposed location of Edmond’s new ferry terminal and the re-route of SR 104, named Edmonds Crossing, a long-awaited project deemed integral to the future growth of Edmonds.
