Children's Video Producer Leases in Naperville

NAPERVILLE, IL-The firm that creates the "Veggie Tales" series of children's Christian-oriented videos has relocated its headquarters from west suburban Lombard to a new office building in Naperville.

NAPERVILLE, IL-Big Idea Productions Inc., the creator of “Veggie Tales” and other Christian-oriented videos for kids, has signed a lease to occupy 57,500 sf in a newly constructed office building at Prairie Point Corporate Park, 2004 International Pkwy in Naperville. The video producer will relocate its headquarters from a retail center in west suburban Lombard to the new space in early 2003.

The new one-story, office building was developed by Atlanta-based Industrial Developments Inc. IDI was represented in the deal by David Justh and Peter Adamo of the Oak Brook, IL, office of CB Richard Ellis. Big Idea was represented by Rick Pearson of the Los Angeles office of CRESA Partners.Founded in a spare bedroom of computer animator Phil Vischer in 1993, Big Idea has grown since then to employ about 300 people. The firm sold about 20 million videos in 2001, and its first feature film, a veggie take on the Book of Jonah, is currently in theaters.
