The property currently holds "a couple of small shops, a small hotel and a couple of offices," says Keillor. One building, at 192nd and Stark, likely will be retained; he says, while the owners of the other buildings are interested in redevelopment.

Keillor says the city's role is to assist the owners, using grants, in determining what kind of development would best fit the market. The conceptual was funded by the State of Oregon through its "Quick Response" Transportation and Growth Management Program. Crandall-Arambula, a Portland urban design firm, worked with the property owner, the city, and other stakeholders to develop the master plan, and will be on-hand at the presentation to discuss design features.
