City Seeks Affordable Housing Input

TACOMA, WA-City officials put together three workshops to educate the public about affordable housing needs and programs in Tacoma and the potential placement of an affordable housing levy on a future ballot.

TACOMA, WA-City officials say they’re looking for input from the public regarding affordable housing needs.

Tacoma citizens will have the chance to identify solutions for making permanent and rental housing more affordable at three city-sponsored workshops later this month.

People who attend one of the three workshops will learn about theaffordable housing needs and programs in Tacoma and the potential placementof an affordable housing levy on a future ballot. Citizens can weigh in withtheir perspective on the potential size of a levy and the kinds ofaffordable housing to fund with the levy proceeds. The workshops will takeplace from 6 to 8 p.m. on:
