150-Room Hotel-Conference Center Eyed for Tucson Tech Park

TUCSON-The University of Arizona Science and Technology Park has earmarked about 25.6 acres for the project. The plan, for now, calls for 150 room and about 50,000 sf of flex conference center space.

TUCSON-The University of Arizona Science and Technology Park is developing plans to add an executive hotel and conference center on about 25.6 acres of land to serve the growing needs of the park’s 6,200 employees.

“The development of an executive class hotel is essential in meeting the needs of our tenant companies,” said Bruce Wright, COO for the 1,345-acre park, the sixth largest university research park in the US. To coordinate that effort, park officials in Tucson have picked Grubb & Ellis Co. to assist in the selection of a development team to build the hotel along with about 50,000 sf of flexible conference center space.
