MOT Planning Contract Draws 5 Finalists

BAYONNE, NJ-The winner will get the massive job of planning and implementing the transportation infrastructure for the redevelopment of the former US Army logistics base.

BAYONNE, NJ-The massive redevelopment project involving the Military Ocean Terminal, the US Army’s shuttered 437-acre logistics base here, will get another push forward later this month when the Bayonne Local Redevelopment Authority makes its choice of who will plan, develop and implement the site’s transportation infrastructure. According to published reports, the decision could come as early as November 21.

The process involves five finalists, according to reports, who are the survivors from the more than 20 applications that arrived on BLRA executive director Nicholas Chiaravalloti’s desk in response to an RFP. Those five finalists are a partnership between Edwards & Kelcy and DMJM Harris of Morristown, NJ; Parsons Brinkerhoff of Newark; the URS Corp., also of Newark; Langan Engineering of Elmwood Park, NJ; and the Washington Group, based in Princeton, NJ.
