"We should have a deal completed by the end of the year," Chris Constant, Cigna's broker, tells GlobeSt.com. "Hopefully I'll get a Christmas present." Constant, associate director in Cushman & Wakefield's Fort Lauderdale office, would not elaborate. But whichever location wins will be leasing in the area of 60,000 sf to 70,000 sf to the company, he says.

In late August, the city of Sunrise offered the corporation up to $450,000 in all-cash incentives to make the move. The cash would be spread out over three years. It was a worthwhile gamble, since the city would reap another 420 permanent jobs.

Another company may take a little more time to decide whether to accept Sunrise's economic incentives. Vista Health Plan has not yet decided to accept Sunrise's $250,000 in incentives made in late September. The prize was proffered for Vista's potential HQ consolidation of resources from nearby Hollywood to current offices in Sunrise, Pat Morris, vice president of community affairs for Vista Health Plan, tells GlobeSt.com. Vista currently has approximately 400 workers at its headquarters and 500 in Sunrise. The firm is considering several sites in Broward County and may stay put, Morris says. There has been "no movement one way or the other," he says.
