Chad Marsh of the Endeavor Real Estate Group represented his company, which owns the Domain. Volney Campbell and Greg Marberry of CB Richard Ellis acted for Solectron.
The Milpitas, CA-based company has been hurt by the technology downturn and has cut jobs and the amount of space it uses in Austin. Marsh said the key factor at the Domain was the 36-foot clear height from floor to ceiling. The space Solectron has at Research Park is low-bay manufacturing, Marsh tells GlobeSt.com, "and they need some high-bay warehouse space. We had a unique asset where it just worked real efficiently for them."
Marsh says there's another 96,000 sf in the building left to lease. Building 6 is part of the Domain, which has two million sf in 14 buildings at the northwest corner of Burnet Road and Braker Lane.
