"We broke the ice," Insignia/ESG managing director Payson MacWilliam tells GlobeSt.com, noting that the company is the first to occupy the 190,000-sf building, built in October 2000. Finish-out is underway; move-in should be soon.
The firm, the largest pharmaceutical distribution firm in the world, chose the 860 S. 83rd Ave. site because of its proximity to one of its biggest customers, Cardinal Health, located just a few miles north at 83rd Avenue and Van Buren Street, Mac William said.Owned by 8300 Buckeye LLC, the building is one of eight planned for development in the Transpacific Distribution Center, located within easy access of Interstate 10 in Phoenix's western suburbs.
MacWilliam, along with Insignia/ESG managing director Don MacWilliam, represented the tenant, who is relocating from a leased site along 54th Avenue. Lee & Associates Arizona handled negotiations for the building owner.
