Law Firm Renews at Wisconsin Ave.

WASHINGTON, DC-Real estate law firm Chasen & Chasen has committed to staying in its home in the District’s uptown area for a while longer by signing an eight-year lease extension on its 3,815-sf space at 5225 Wisconsin Ave. The company has been at the same location for the last 14 years.

“It was a nuts and bolts deal, no surprises” Advantis/GVA’s Bruce McNair tells GlobeSt.com of Chasen’s lease renewal. Advantis represented the law firm in the transaction, while Urban Investment Advisors advised building owner Starwood Urban. “Their business as settlement attorneys has just been booming, and the building gives them easy access to suburban Maryland, as well as the District.” Rents in the 95,000-sf structure range from $29.50 to $31.50 per sf. Other tenants in the building–which also has ground-level retail space–include The Choral Arts Society of Washington, Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon, and restaurant Bambrule Brasserie.
