The Roney Palace Converts Two Floors to Lofts and Penthouses

MIAMI-The Roney Palace Oceanfront Condominium tower in Miami Beach is converting two floors to loft and penthouse units. The project involves building out 43 loft units on the 16th floor. The walls separating the rooms in the original floor plans will be gone, as will the wall-to-wall carpeting and the dropped popcorn-finish ceilings. Instead, the units will have glass doors to let in light and give the units ocean and city views. The units will include natural materials such as aluminum, concrete, marble and glass to provide an updated, modern feel. In addition, the ceiling heights are being taken to 12 feet.

When finished, these units will range from 662 sf for studios to 1,480 sf for two-bedroom units.

In addition, on the 17th floor–the penthouse level–the project entails either retrofitting units that are already built or doing initial buildout on new units. The floor will have 22 units with 10-foot ceilings after the dust clears.
