"While we considered external candidates, we came to realize that collectively, Richard's undeniable financial, operational, and human capital management skills served as a strong and unifying force within the company," says Zell in a statement.
Through his recent duties as EVP and COO, Kincaid spearheaded the company's internal restructuring process, which included reorganizing EOP's regions, changing corporate processes, and developing a new commercial property operating model. He joined the company nearly seven years ago as CFO and is credited with taking EOP public in 1997. He also led the company's financial strategies during a strong growth period that included more than $17 billion in mergers and acquisitions.
