EOP Appoints Kincaid New President, CEO

CHICAGO-Equity Office Properties' Board of Trustees has promoted Richard D. Kincaid, a seven-year veteran of the company, to the position of president and trustee. Kincaid will also take over the role of CEO from Sam Zell in spring 2003.

CHICAGO-As part of its ongoing reorganization, which began nearly a year ago, Equity Office Properties Trust has tapped Richard D. Kincaid as new president and trustee, effective immediately. Kincaid, who most recently served as COO of the company, will assume the added role of CEO on April 1, 2003. Until the reins are officially passed, Sam Zell, chairman of EOP and current CEO, will continue his responsibilities.

“While we considered external candidates, we came to realize that collectively, Richard’s undeniable financial, operational, and human capital management skills served as a strong and unifying force within the company,” says Zell in a statement.
