"Their decision to build here is a true testament to the partnership between Klöckner Pentaplast and the state of Virginia," Virginia Economic Development spokesperson Jill Lawrence tells GlobeSt.com. The company, which is the biggest producer of rigid films in the Americas, has been in Virginia for a quarter century. "Over the years, several of our governors have met with Klöckner officials overseas. It's an ongoing relationship."

In June, the company completed an addition of 26,000 sf to its existing facility at a cost of $5 million. The latest supplemental development is expected to be up and running in October of 2003.
