Footfall Launches Fast Footfall Tool for Retailers

CANNES-Now you can pick up a UK sales volume indicator two weeks ahead of the UK Government's Office of National Statistics' (ONS) sales volume data. Retail solutions provider Footfall publishes its data within days of the end of the month, compared to the ONS figures which come out mid way through it

CANNES-Retail business solutions provider FootFall has launched a retail sales volume indicator that can provide figures within three days of the end of the month, making it faster than the Government’s Office of National Statistics’ (ONS) sales volume data which comes out halfway through the month.

Footfall believes the results showed an extremely close correlation between the retail sales volume figures for month-on-month and year-on-year after seasonal adjustments had been made. The FootFall sales volume indicator figures for September, for example, showed a 4.8% increase on the same month the previous year, only 0.2% higher than the ONS data at 4.6%.
