UK Urban Planner Wins Global Property Innovation Award

LONDON-Charlie Hughes, managing director of urban masterplanner Miller Hughes Associates has won the 2002 CoreNet International Global Innovators Award. He beat off competition from organisations including Sun Microsystems, the US Army, Johnson Controls.

LONDON-Urban masterplanner Charlie Hughes of Miller Hughes Associates accepted the 2002 CoreNet International Global Innovators Award from Matt Cullen, chairman of corporate real estate organisation CoreNet Global, during the group’s summit in San Diego yesterday.

Miller Hughes was the only European finalist in a field which included Sun Microsystems, the US Army, Johnson Controls and many of the world’s leading corporations.

Hughes presented a paper on his innovation, ‘Maximising benefits for the corporation through the application of a sustainable, socially responsible real estate disposal methodology’ at the summit in California, which gathered together more than 3,000 of the world’s top corporate property executives.
