Financing for $19M Inner Harbor Hotel

BALTIMORE, MD-The $19-million plan to reinvent an historic office structure as a new 116-room Hampton Inn & Suites gets an extra boost from a $3.5-million financing package, courtesy of Texas-based Hall Financial Group and North Carolina real estate investment trust Winston Hotels Inc. Focus Development Group affiliate 131 East Redwood LLC is behind the redevelopment of the 92,000-sf limestone building, which sits in the city’s Inner Harbor area. “As a mezzanine provider with extensive real estate experience, Hall continues to differentiate itself by providing creative and flexible financing solutions to real estate entrepreneurs,” says Hall Financial Group president Donald Braun. “In this case, our redevelopment knowledge and similar experience with the downtown Dallas historic Kirby Building, built in 1913 by Adolphus Bush, made us uniquely suited to understand the issues related to the conversion.” The groundbreaking is planned for this month and the building is expected to deliver fourteen months after construction starts.
