The project will consist of 45,000-sf of inline space with the balance of the space devoted to two restaurant pad sites. Additionally, the boardwalk will feature a 400-foot pier.

Shawn Ackerman with the Houston office of Henry S. Miller Commercial is handling leasing at the site, which according to Cottrell, will probably be finished in September. The inline space will feature traditional retailers as well as some professional and medical space.

Cottrell says the market surrounding the boardwalk is finally mature enough to support this type of development. The affluent neighboring communities of Kingwood and Atascocita Shores should also help to buoy the project, Cottrell says.
