New Investment Banking Firm Launched with Two Deals

SUMMIT, NJ-Summit Capital Partners, launched by a former top officer at Lend Lease, will specialize in senior and mezz placements and joint venture equity.

SUMMIT, NJ-An $11-million multifamily transaction on 72nd Street in New York and a $2.3 million financing with a life company in Rockaway, NJ are among the initial transactions authored by Summit Capital Partners LLC, a new real estate investment banking firm, based here. No further details of the transactions were provided.

The new firm is the brainchild of Doug Shelley, a former senior transaction officer in Lend Lease’s Capital Markets Group in New York. During his tenure there, Shelley completed transactions worth more than $2 billion for such major pension fund and REIT investors as the State of Michigan, Delta Airlines, the Denver Public Schools, Arch Street Funds, Global Property Fund, Raytheon and Simon Property Group.
