Known recently as one of the sets in the film production of Shakespeare's Richard III, Battersea Power Station has stood derelict and partly demolished since the 1980s. Parkview aims to breathe new life into the landmark building.

Retail will be concentrated on the ground and first floors, while the majority of leisure will be on upper levels. Leasing for units commences in 18 months.

Parkview wants to attract a wide variety of international retail operators including both UK first-timers and showcase stores. Consequently, there will be flexibility on space offered, including double-height units.

Parkview has permission for two new hotels on the site: a 350-room five-star 'urban resort' and a 750-room conference facility with 190,000 sf of conference space. There is also permission for 750,000 sf of office space in two buildings, a 2,200-seat auditorium and 650 residential units.
