With tenant improvements already underway, Koll's Bill Guthrey tells GlobeSt.com the agency will relocate to CenterPort in April from 40,000 sf of space at 4300 Amon Carter Blvd.
"They needed to be closer to the airport because they have folks they send out" to respond to disasters, says Guthrey. "And they needed more space to accommodate the 200 to 500 employees they have at certain times."
CenterPort is a 1,300-acre master planned mixed-use business park located near the southern entrance to the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport at the confluence of state highways 183 and 360.
Raymond P. Chatham, area director, SBA Disaster Assistance says the agency's technology needs and increasing workload made the move necessary. "We wanted to stay in the CenterPort campus and this space could accommodate our increasing needs," says Catham.
The campus currently serves as home to American Airlines world headquarters, Southwestern Bell, Uniden, Travelocity.com, Nokia, Office Max, Keebler, Whirlpool and several Fortune 500 companies.
