Bariatric Firm Puts Up $3.5M for 5.5 Acres

SCOTTSDALE, AZ-Forest Health Services of Ypsilanti, MI ends a year of looking for a good site in Scottsdale. The tract on the southwest corner of Perimeter and Princess drives was earmarked for the second phase of the Sonoran Corporate Center.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ-A 5.5-acre parcel that was to be turned into an office park has instead been sold to a Michigan firm, which is constructing one of the area’s first bariatric centers on the site.

Jeff Wentworth, a senior vice president in Phoenix for Grubb & Ellis Co., tells GlobeSt.com that the acreage on the southwest corner of Perimeter and Princess drives was originally slated to be used for the second phase of the adjacent Sonoran Corporate Center, but was sold by owner Robert A Russell after Forest Health Services came in with an offer of more than $3.5 million.

“They had been looking in Scottsdale for about a year and trying to decide on a site,” said Wentworth. “They needed a secluded site and with its proximity to doctors and nurses, they thought this would be the best place.”
