College Buys Captura Building for $5.3M

KIRKLAND, WA-Northwest College intends to use the 35,000-sf Lakeview office building for its growing adult and professional programs. The college also intends to relocate administrative offices to the facility, which is located less than one-half mile from the 56-acre main campus.

KIRKLAND, WA-Northwest College has snapped up the former Captura building for $5.3 million.

College officials say they plans to use the 35,000-sf Lakeview office building at 6710 108th Ave. for its expanding adult and professional programs. It also will house administrative offices, which are to be relocated from the nearby 56-acre main campus.

“In the physical sense, we are root-bound,” says Don Argue, President of Northwest College. “Enrollment and program offerings are continuing to expand, but we simply do not have the space on our campus to continue to meet the growing demand by students. This building will relieve the pressure on our main campus and will provide room for expansion of our fastest growing programs.”
